Day 1: Progress!

Today we were able to print our first pieces that we need to build our 3D printer with. The extruder pieces has been successfully printed!

We will be using our ELME class printer throughout our build. We have an extra "11 tooth drive gear," because we had some supports in hard-to-get-to places in the first one printed. Unfortunately, we ran into one issue. The extruder block (the big piece) also had some difficult to remove supports printed, and in the process of removing these supports, I cracked the piece a little bit. Luckily, it shouldn't be a big issue that a little glue can't fix.  

Either way, it was a successful day today!
